Mentors in the Student Blogging Challenge have been asked to link to some favourite posts for participants to use in playing a game. I will start with some of my favourite posts from this blog.
The first post is about the Cardboard Challenge. I love this post because of the inspirational story behind it and because of the fun team event that it inspired when we created our own Cardboard Arcade and invited the other students in the school to come and play.
Another favourite post is about Felix Baumgartner’s record breaking parachute jump. I’ve included this one because I was so fascinated by this astonishing feat. It still makes me go “WOW!”
My final favourite post from this blog is our Persuasive Writing. I’ve included this post because I had to learn how to embed documents in a blog to create it and I was proud of achieving that new skill, and also because I am proud of the writing that the students produced when they worked in teams to write these texts.
Now for favourite posts from other blogs – well how do I choose? There are so many fantastic bloggers out there producing thoughtful, funny, interesting posts.
I have chosen a post from Mr Salsich’s Class blog. This blog always has interesting posts which teach me a lot and give me some great ideas for teaching. You could also look on this blog for posts featuring Juan Carlo – a talking frog! The post I have chosen is a guest post by a student called Nora’s Trip to San Diego.
And finally, a post from a student blog which many of my students love to visit: Cameron’s Blog. Cameron writes lots of posts about games. I have chosen a post about Clash of Clans. I’m not a gamer so this isn’t one of my personal favourite posts, but I know lots of you student bloggers will really enjoy reading Cameron’s blog.
Which of these blog posts was your favourite and why?
What is your opinion about whether cats or dogs make better pets?
